A.L.’s first time floating the Blackfoot River was in the springtime. There was an immense amount of runoff, turning the waters a chocolatey brown. Black walnut was chosen to illustrate this harmonious, Montana moment. Made from the finest hardwoods, metals, shell and leather available, these tubes will not only keep your favorite rod safe during travel but allow you to travel in style. Each case is made of eight staves, meticulously shaped and glued under pressure into an octagon. They are then mounted on a lathe and turned to a perfect cylinder, one at a time…by hand. Once coated with marine varnish, each case is polished to a buttery smooth finish, that beckons your touch.
